My Konjac Sponge New Packaging

Awwwww!!!

I’m so happy looking at the mail today as My Konjac Sponge has surprised me with 2 of their item. I love all of their sponges, none of them are bad. Every single one of them is usable, soft and so friendly on our skin.

So far I’ve been using the sponge in so many ways possible. From cleansing the face with sponge and just water, with cleansing foam, for the body, to remove mask, as a compress when one’s having a fever / cool off, to gently exfoliate the skin, to play with (come on! Nothing beats a gooey thing in the tub), and many more.

See my previous post for this particular product HERE and for the body HERE, where they come in different packaging.

The front part no longer with Hangeul but simply all English. The main attraction for me is the back side.

For me it is much more informative and eye-catching.

Below is the one for the body, green and I just love them. The waves are perfect for grabbing, since the body area is bigger, I need a bigger sponge too, but still in the same soft jelly sensation.

I literally thought My Konjac Sponge will be somewhat the same with any other sponge or at least a few, but I’m wrong. My Konjac Sponge so far has won my heart from their softness, gentleness, can widely usable and the very very friendly to the skin. Other product I’ve tried is either too harsh on the skin, too hard, smells weird and chemical, doesn’t absorb water as much as My Konjac Sponge, and cause sensitivity around the cheeks as well.

Some may last longer but just because none of us (in the family) wants to use it. Different story with My Konjac Sponge where everyone in the family take turns and everybody really want to use it.

So for now, me and my family, it’s My Konjac Sponge ^__^

Try one yourself and have fun!!!!

My Konjac Sponge (Water Drop Bamboo Charcoal) Review

Posted by on Jan 30, 2013 in Reviews | Comments Off on My Konjac Sponge (Water Drop Bamboo Charcoal) Review

Hi! Today I wanna share you a nice skin care tool.
It’s a Water Drop Bamboo Charcoal from My Konjac Sponge.
Anyway, Konjac is a plant which grown in Asian like Korea and Japan.
If you wanna know more , you can check in here.
Konjac sponge is made by its root which has a very soft texture.

Super cute right?
The left one is before absorb water so it looks dry.
So before and after you use this sponge, you have to soak in water and squeeze it.

Why I choose the black water drop one is because it is effective for cleansing and eliminating blackheads.

Here is me with the full make up. I starting to set my eyebrow fuller just like ulzzang 😀
I usually remove my make up with cleansing oil then rinse my face with water.
After that I use facial foam to clean all the oil and make sure that all the make up gone completely.

So now, instead of using facial foam I use konjac sponge.
Take the konjac sponge and massage to the face in circular direction without any cleansing soap.
I repeat without any cleansing soap!

TADA! Here I am without any make up after using the konjac sponge.

I’ve used is for about one month and it makes my skin smoother and more moist 🙂
If you interested to buy, please check out My Konjac Sponge, NOW!
Ok, bye for now~

My Konjac Sponge: Water Drop Bamboo Charcoal Facial Sponge Review

Posted by on Oct 30, 2012 in Reviews | Comments Off on My Konjac Sponge: Water Drop Bamboo Charcoal Facial Sponge Review

Hurray! It’s the first day of September here on the other side of the globe. And when the “-ber” months come here in the Philippines, it means Christmas is already near! I actually went to the mall a while ago and they were playing Christmas songs already! (〜 ̄▽ ̄)〜

I recently read about a wonderful sponge for facial care on blogs and I got curious. It was sold by My Konjac Sponge but sadly, it wasn’t immediately available here in my country. Good thing, they found a distributor here, The Updated Trends.

I don’t have perfect skin btw, that’s why I needed a new skin care product.

Anyway, I bought this Konjac Water Drop Bamboo Charcoal Facial Sponge a few months ago but it was only recently that I got to try the product coz I had it shipped to my friend Panda’s place. I actually forgot to get it when we last met, which was the reason for the delay. (T▽T)

A little summary about the product according to their site, it is 100% natural and is made of activated bamboo charcoal. It cleans the pores and is an effective remedy for acne. You can read more about the product here.

The packaging was simple and nice. The different kinds of sponges are actually color-coded I think, coz  this one is grey for charcoal. Unfortunately, the product had descriptions in Korean, so I can’t understand them.

I was actually surprised when I saw that the sponge was moist. I was expecting it to be as hard a rock. Hehe! It had a piece of string attached to it so you can hang it. Unfortunately, I accidentally cut it. ∑(O_O;)

Since it was a sponge, it had small holes on it. It didn’t smelled nor had any odor.

The sponge is tear-shaped or, water drop-shaped. I like it that way coz I use the pointy end for tiny areas that needs cleaning such as the corner of my nose and sides of my forehead.

I use the rounder end on my cheeks and jaw, as I have pimples in that area.

Before using it, I had it soaked in warm water, as seen above. Then I wash my face with the anti-pimples soap that I’ve been using for quite sometime, which I think doesn’t work on me anymore. I then rinse the soap off. I then massage my face with the warm sponge.

To tell you the truth, that was the first time I enjoyed rubbing something on my face! It feels like jelly! Plus, it was warm. The warmth helps open up the pores and the charcoal act as a magnet that clean the pores from dirt and stuff.

It kinda felt a little bit slimy at first though, which I don’t know why. Just a tiny bit!

Because I enjoyed it on my face, I usually massage it for about 3 minutes. I frequently dip the sponge on the warm water when I think it’s not moist or warm anymore.

Surprisingly, I noticed that the water gets cloudy and light tea-colored the more I dip the sponge! I think its one of the signs that it actually works! The sponge is coloring-free btw. (⌒▽⌒)

After that, I rinse my face again with water, dry my face and apply moisturizer. I hang the sponge dry.

For three days, I did the facial routine above every morning and night. And I very much liked the results!

Eventhough I wasn’t using any pimple-drying agent, except the soap, I’ve noticed that my pimples are getting dry! (ノ゚▽゚)ノ

I’ve also noticed that when I wake up in the morning, my face isn’t that too oily. It was one of the claims of what the product can do. ヾ(*´∇`)ノ

There are also lesser blackheads on my nose, but they’re still there. ヽ(´ー`)ノ

The only negative thing about it is that, it didn’t stopped new pimples to appear. I had two. I think you still need to use other skin care products and not rely solely on the sponge. (ノ ̄ω ̄)ノ

So after the three days routine, I now use my new skin care product together with this sponge. I will post a review about the skin care products I’m using soon. Hope they give me good results. (;*´Д`)ノ

Will I recommend this?

Yes, but you will still need to buy other skin care products if you want to achieve perfect or blemish free skin. It may work on people with few pimples though. ( ̄へ ̄)
