CHINESE NEW YEAR 2013

Parking is tight at markets, lines are long for roast duck and some of the best sweets are selling out as millions of Indonesians, Americans, Singaporeans etc prepare to celebrate the Lunar New Year.

People across the nation are preparing for the holiday, the most important for many Asian families. They buy the iconic foods that make the festival: long noodles for long life, whole fish with head and tail attached for family wholeness and sweet red bean soup for a sweet new year.

The Lunar New Year is a festival celebrated by more than 1.5 billion people in Asia. In China, it’s the Spring Festival. Worldwide, Chinese, Koreans, Vietnamese and other Asians celebrate the beginning of a new year on the second new moon after the winter solstice. It’s a time of gathering with family, honoring ancestors and eating.

An important tradition is lucky money, which symbolizes prosperity for the coming year. Friends and relatives give children red envelopes that usually contain a crisp new $1 bill, Jung says. In the days leading up to the new year, there are long lines at banks as people get new bills to give away. BUT …

“The Lunar New Year is a symbol of being together with family to share joy and happiness. That meaning is much more important.”
HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR 2013 TO ALL ‘MY KONJAC SPONGE’ LOVERS 🙂

A Surprise from My Konjac Sponge!

A Surprise from My Konjac Sponge!

Hello, lovelies~ Do you remember the sponge that shook the beauty blogging world almost a year ago? If you said yes and guessed konjac sponges, give yourself a pat on the shoulder because you’re right! I remember bringing it to Singkawang and washing my face with it for an entire week without any face wash. You can always read that post right here.

Anyway, a couple of days ago, I was taken aback when I saw a brown envelope in front of my room when I got home. I didn’t remember ordering anything, but when I took a closer look, it turned out to be from My Konjac.

I rushed to open the package (with camera in close proximity, of course), half wondering why they send me a package. To my surprise, they changed the plastic packaging on the sponges!

They are much more cuter with the leaf design and the My Konjac Sponge label on the upper left part.

I got the Volcanic Stone along with the 6 Wave body sponge. I have yet to try both, but will surely post it when I have. I’ve tried the Korean Ocher sponge and loved it. You can always read the review here!

The back of the packaging is also changed for the better. There are instructions complete with pictures, which will be very helpful to those who are new to these sponges.

So, I’ll definitely be trying out the 6 Wave sponge when I shower! Can’t wait for that! Anyway, enjoy a few words from yours truly in the photos below. I just feel like taking lots of photos that day. Lol.

Thank you for the sponges, My Konjac! Have you tried any of their sponges?

Acne

Acne

Acne (whether one spot, a few spots, or a face full) can leave your self confidence shattered and make the everyday things you used to take for granted, such as going to work or hanging out with your mates, an embarrassing and even traumatic ordeal.

Acne can cause lasting emotional damage, especially when it unfairly continues into your adult years. You may be seeing acne for the first time in your 20s or 30s and wondering why you’re now being affected.

Try our ‘My Konjac Sponge’ BAMBOO CHARCOAL’ But what’s so special about it …

Perfectly represented by its bold color, Bamboo Charcoal is the sponge that you want to use when you feel that you have many layers of dead skin to exfoliate. Layers of dead skin make your skin look dull and darker than your actual tone.

Enriched by charcoal extracted from the best bamboos in Korea, this sponge is also effective for cleansing and eliminating blackheads around the T-area (so called Trouble Area). This sponge is perfect for those who are active and spend good amount of time outside having to deal with dusts and dirts that could clog your pores if not cleansed properly.

Also … My Konjac Sponge is an advocate of going-green movement. Not only that our sponge are naturally sustainable, but they are also 100% biodegradable. Indulge your skin with the goodness of nature.

Definitely worth to try !!!
