Hello, lovelies~ Last week, I said that I will do an updated post on using the sponge with a cleanser, but I don’t like it at all. So, I didn’t continue to use the sponge with a cleanser and used it solo. This post will be a review on the sponge itself.
Disclosure: This sponge is sent to me for review purposes. All of the opinions I have are honest and I’m not paid to say these things.

The sponge came in a plastic pouch with a clear window in the middle so you can see the inside. There are five types of sponges catered to every skin type, from dry, normal and oily. Each sponge has its own color theme, matching the plastic pouch with the sponge.
Once I let the sponge out of the plastic, I can feel it being slightly damp. Maybe it’s packaged this way so it can be used immediately right away. All I have to do is soak it in water, lightly squeeze the excess water and massage it all over my face.
The texture of the sponge is soft and springy, with pores of various sizes all over the surface. As it is round, the sponge has two sides, which are surprisingly different. One side is a slightly rough texture, perfect for exfoliating and removing dirt and grime. The other side is soft and smooth, beneficial for buffing or polishing the skin to acheive smoother skin.
How I Use It
I would place the sponge in a bowl or a glass, depending on what container you have. Fill it with water and let the sponge soak the water for 20-30 seconds as long as it is already wet.
Gently squeeze the sponge to remove the excess water and rub it on the face for 30-60 seconds in circular motion.
After that, I rinse my face and pat it dry with a towel (and smile for the camera).
I have been using this religiously for two whole weeks, day and night, without any cleanser. Surprisingly, it has kept my skin clear, soft, and smooth.
However, I do feel the need to disinfect this sponge if I were to use it without any face cleanser. I placed the sponge in a microwave safe dish and “cook” it for 30 seconds.
Overall, I really liked this sponge as a face cleanser because of its gentle texture. Also, it’s great because it reduces the chance of surfactant getting into direct contact with my skin (which is usually the cause of my breakouts). I would probably repurchase this if mine ever gets badly damaged.

Hi everyone!

the back side~
you can read before use it directly on the face 😀
Excellent for all skin types even those with hypersensitive skin and safe for babies & children.
i also inform to wash the sponge thoroughly. and also recommend plunging it in water and squeezing several times.
If the sponge has dried out, always allow it to fully absorb water before putting against your skin.
Gently massage the face and body in circular motion all over, to exfoliate dead skin cells, and deeply cleanse. The massaging will stimulate tired skin & encourage skin renewal. Soap or cleansing solution can be added to the sponge if desired, but is not necessary. I use it alone without any cleansing and it feels sooo good… XD XD
Open my Moon sponge and zoom detail for the product, can you guys see it? its seems like the texture super soft and guess what?? IT IS…! this sponge was really flexible and super soft.
i let my sponge fully absorb water before massage it on m face. And don’t forget to clean your face before you put the sponge.

Rinse sponge before and after use & allow to air dry itself.
Your sponge should last between 5 to 6 month, depending on how well you treat it, but once it starts to look tired, or starts to break down. Please replace it. The better care you take of your sponge, the longer it will last 😀 so? take care of your stuff girls!

Perfectly represented by its bold color, Bamboo Charcoal is the sponge that you want to use when you feel that you have many layers of dead skin to exfoliate. Layers of dead skin make your skin look dull and darker than your actual tone.
Enriched by charcoal extracted from the best bamboos in Korea, this sponge is also effective for cleansing and eliminating blackheads around the T-area (so called Trouble Area). This sponge is perfect for those who are active and spend good amount of time outside having to deal with dusts and dirts that could clog your pores if not cleansed properly.

By the way, this is what i found from their site about Konjac Plant
“Amorphophallus Konjac” the Konjac potato is a perennial plant, native to Asia and sometimes known as Konnyaku. “Konjac” potatoes are cultivated for food in Japan and Korea, but wild forms grow naturally in many parts of China, Korea and Japan. Frequently growing wild at very high altitude, thus being very pure and polutant free.
The Japanese have been eating “Konjac” for over 1,500 years. It is a totally natural food source. 99% of “Konjac” is water and three percent is Glucomannan, or dietary fiber. It is also rich in minerals and very low in calories. However, our sponges should never be put in the mouth! These are simply a few facts about the plant when used as a food, for those who are curious! Buf, for over a century, the Japanese have been using the “Konjac” vegetable as a beauty treatment for their delicate skin.
Thats all. Thank you, and take care everyone!! ^^~

Have you guys heard about the Konjac Sponge ?
If you haven’t then I would like to introduce you to one of the best cleanser that I have tried so far 😉
I received a Konjac Sponge last week from My Konjac Sponge, and as soon as I received the email from them I immediately search the internet and visit My Konjac Sponge website and found out so many great things about the konjac sponges.
Konjac Sponges are the softest and most gentle yet effective skin cleansing product on the market. A research in Japan has proven that Konjac sponges can deeply cleanse without damaging the skin and it’s better than any normal wash cloth or wash sponges.
The Konjac Sponge is made from natural “Konjac” fibre.
What is a Konjac fibre, you might ask?
Konjac fibre is a revolutionary vegetable fibre from the root of the Amorphophallus “Konjac” plant. It is a plant native to Asia and sometimes are also known as Konnyaku.
My Konjac Sponge is the Indonesian company currently supplying Konjac Sponges all over the country. Their Konyaku sponges are made to the very highest standards, using the purest volcanic rock filtered water and food grade “Konjac”.
Originally designed for babies, it is probably the softest most gentle yet effective skin cleansing product on the market. They are 100% Natural and completely environmentally friendly. No colouring and no-additives, just straightforward, biodegradable, healthy plant material.
My Konjac Sponge has several Konjac Sponge variations on their website, and I received the Water Drop Volcanic Stone Facial Sponge:
The Water Drop Volcanic Stone Facial Sponge is a pinkish sponge that is naturally made of 100% pure vegetable fiber and enriched with drops of volcanic stone that could absorb excess oil on our skin as we scrub the dirt off the skin. It is perfect for those with oily complexion or skins that prone to spots and acne; and for those who have problems with shiny oily skin, blackheads and breakouts. It is also suitable for those with eczema or hypersensitive skin.
I have a combination-oily face so it is the perfect variant for me to try. When I first open the packaging I was surprised that the sponge is actually in a damp/almost wet condition. And I guess that’s how it supposed to be, because I read somewhere that when a konjac sponge is dry it could be as hard as a stone. So the damp sponge is a Plus for me. That means you can also use it instantly after you open it from the package.
Here is how to use it (taken from the website):
The sponge comes with a thin hanger on it so you can hang it after every use. Remember to hang it in a well–ventilated area to air-dry. And also remember to re-hydrate it again with water before re-using it.
This Waterdrop Volcanic Stone facial sponge is meant for facial cleansing purpose but I guess it could also be use as body cleanser. The waterdrop shape with a pointy end on this sponge is great for facial cleansing though. It makes it easier to reach those hard-to-reach little places on your face such as the corner of your nose, the area around your eyes, and the corner of your lips.
My Take:
I love how it felt on the skin when I cleanse my face with it. I tried it without using any cleanser and my facial complexion looks glowing instantly after I use it. It made my complexion more smooth, radiant, and plumped. It makes my skin looks and feels healthy! It’s just amazing how a sponge can cleanse your face thoroughly without even using any cleanser.
I also tried it with a cleanser and you just need a tiny amount of your cleanser with it because the sponge would make it extra foamy, and the results are (if not better) is as great! My face feels thoroughly clean afterwards and the complexion looks healthier and less oily. It’s best to use it after you clean your makeup because it is a facial cleanser and not makeup-remover after all. I myself love to use it in the morning (and sometimes in the afternoon too), (and / or at night time after removing my makeup) ;p
Overall, so far I love it and would recommend it for anyone who wants to have a clean face and body. There are konjac sponges for different skin condition (even sponges for men) and for body on My Konjac Sponge website. This one costs IDR 65.000 and it will lasts up to 6 months. With everyday usage and great results, I’d say it’s very worth the price.
You can check out their website and Facebook page for more details and info.Or you could also email them at info@mykonjacsponge.com for ordering the product.
