All about ‘My Konjac Sponge’ – Philippines
Konjac Sponge is a perennial plant native to Asia, which is referred as the devils tongue internationally.
It is totally natural food source and over the century the Japanese have been using the konjac as a regiment for their delicate skin and have been eating konjac for over 1,500years.
Konjac is reputed for its health giving properties and natural moisture rich plant fiber which is by nature alkaline and thus balances the acidity of the skins impurities & oils.

How to use My Konjac Sponge
After opening the package, wash the sponge on running water by gently squeezing it.
When dry, soak the sponge on a bowl of water and let it absorb all the liquid before using.
Gently massage the sponge on your face and body in circular motion, to exfoliate dead skin cells, and deeply cleanse your body.
You can use soap or cleansing potion if desired. Using the sponge alone is okay as it has its own alkaline that cleanses the skin.
Sponge could last for 3-4 month depending on how you use it. But once it starts to look worn out or starts falling out replace immediately.
Always squeeze out excess water after use. Do not wring the sponge. Allowing sponge to air dry in a cool dry space will elongate its shelf life.
Sponge hardens when dry, so always re-hydrate in warm water before use.
Discard when sponge disintegrates. My Konjac Sponge is made of vegetable so it is safe to put in soil or flowering plants.
FAQ
What’s the size the sponges? The 6wave sponge is approx 8cm x 3.5cm. The other sponges are round in shape and about 8.5 cm diameter and 1.5 deep. The size changes as my konjac sponge dries up, and as it dries up.
How long will the sponges last? My Konjac Sponge could last from 3 to 4 month depending on how frequent it was used. Airdrying My Konjac Sponge will make sponge last longer.
Can I sterilize/ sanitize My konjac sponge? You can boil the sponge for a couple of minutes or put in a bowl of water and microwave for about 2-3 mins.
Is it suitable for anyone? My Konjac sponge is suitable to all skin types and ages including babies. They are perfect for sensitive skin, dry skin, oily skin and acne prone skin. It will remove all impurities that cause the problems and also helps prevent the infection on acne prone skin and one suffering from eczema.

Have you ever heard about Konjac Sponge? Well if you are member of IBB, I’m sure many of you are already familiar with this sponge. But what about my International readers? If you still don’t understand about this product please read more for my review ^^
Konjac Sponge is a special sponge that use to clean our face. My sponge is called Water Drop Bamboo Charcoal Facial. Quite a long name for a sponge, right? *lol* This is how it looks like~ Well, I’m pretty sure you can judge the shape from the name itself~ *Water Drop*
The color is black because it is contains activated carbon and various mineral that enhance absorptive ability and perfect for removing oil. I choose this type because I think this is the most suitable with my acne-prone and oily skin. There is a little thread that attach on the sponge that used to hang it after use.
About the product:

Use and Care:

My Opinion:
I’ve already use this sponge for almost 2 and half months and overall I love this sponge. I use this without cleanser. Usually I will cleanse my face with facial wash and then I use this konjac sponge after that. I use it everyday. I love this sponge because it makes my face become supple everytime I’m finish using this sponge. I also like the sensation when I massage the sponge on my face. It does remove dirt and oil. But, I’m not really sure with blackheads because I still have it. As for acnes remedy, I can’t say anything about this too, because I also use another acne lotion to heal my acne, but this sponge surely doesn’t makes my acne become worse. So far, I don’t have any problems with this sponge and I love it~

I just went through the FAQs on the Konjac website and I realized I’ve been doing something wrong : hanging them inside the shower stall. Yikes! They should be hung in an airy place to dry, not inside the shower stall where it’s damp. My bad!
The site also says the sponges can last anywhere from 1-3 months, depending on how you use them. Not bad for the price of less than P400 each. Bang for your buck! The best part for me though is the fact that it’s 100% natural, eco-friendly and made from pure plant roots.
I’ve only been using them for 2 days, but each time I do, my skin feels softer than usual – promise! My facial skin has grainy (for lack of a better term) portions and these have slightly diminished in the past couple of days. The body sponge has the same effect. They really work.

For years, I’ve been on a look out for facial and body sponge. I tried all sorts of sponges and scrubs but still I ended up with broken or irritated skin and it causes my skin to dry and breaking out.

After use I just have to hang it for air drying or if I wanted to make sure that it’s clean
